Sobra is an old fishing port of Babino Polje which starts to settle between the two world wars, and today is a touristic place.
Sobra has its own port (Zaglavac) 3 km away from the place and it is a maritime - transportation center of the whole island.
In Zaglavac daily arrivives passenger catamaran from Dubrovnik, ferry from the mainland (Port Papratno- Peljesac), and four times a week ships; two from Rijeka and Split to Dubrovnik and two from Dubrovnik.
In Sobra there is port authority, shop and three restaurants and start of hiking path long 43 km, and the old Austrian road 1 km long .
Place has its own water system that supplies water from sources in nearby Blatina.
