Babino Polje ist ein des ältesten Dörfer auf der Insel. Das Dorf liegt am Fuße der Großen und Kleinen Stadt und besteht aus drei Dorfsteilen: Zadublje, Srčenovići und Zabriježe. Es ist 4 km lang. Unterhalb des Dorfes ist ein riesiges und fruchtbares Feld – Babino Polje, nach dem das Dorf benannt wurde.
