Rebellious Alyssa and sensitive Mehdi, childhood best friends, feel trapped in their small community on the outskirts of Tunisia and dream of moving to Europe. When Alyssa hears about a painting competition in nearby Djerba, she sees an opportunity for their dreams to finally come true—if Mehdi can use his artistic talent to create a winning piece.

The feature debut of Tunisian director Amel Guellaty, which premiered in the competition program of this year’s Sundance Film Festival, is an exciting and moving road movie, featuring stunning cinematography and outstanding performances by charismatic actors Eye Bellagha and Slim Baccar.
