Coast and beaches

Mljet is familiar for the lovely beaches which are situated near the villages or which you can visit only by boat. 

Pomena has a beach convenient for the children and older people and it has a small shallow swimming pool.

You can find sandy beaches on the SE part of the island on which you can always find a place for yourself. 

For those people who arrive on the island with a boat interesting ports are: Okuklje, Prožurska Luka, Sobra, Polače, Pomena and Sutmiholjska and Garma on the South of the island. You shouldn't miss the early swimming in the crystal clear sea which is an unique experience.
